Our Owner and Attorney, Michael Jonas, JD, MBA, founded Rational Unicorn Legal Services in 2017 and built a practice rooted in accessibility, clarity, and community impact. His work spans business law, nonprofit governance, compliance, contracts, and organizational strategy, with deep experience supporting both traditional businesses and community-rooted models. Michael has spent his career helping organizations navigate complexity without losing sight of why they exist.

We minimize our environmental impact by operating an almost paperless office, using cloud-based legal tools, and prioritizing virtual meetings to reduce travel emissions. We partner with local vendors who share our commitment to sustainability. We also support clients focused on environmental justice and social impact, ensuring that our work advances a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
